This Privacy Policy explains how Kesal Mentors (“Kesal Mentors”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit kesalzmentors.help (the “Website”), send us an enquiry or use our tuition services. We provide private tuition: 1-to-1 home tuition in London and online tuition across the UK, for Primary (KS1–KS2), Secondary (KS3–KS4) and Sixth Form (Years 12–13) students and Adult Learners.
Kesal Mentors is based in London, United Kingdom, and is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We handle personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and, for cookies and electronic messages, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Information We Collect
We only collect the information we need to respond to you and to arrange and deliver tuition.
Information you give us through our enquiry forms
Our Contact and Consultation forms ask for:
- the name of the parent, guardian or student making the enquiry;
- the student’s year group or level;
- an email address;
- the tuition you are interested in;
- your message; and
- your answer to a simple human-verification question, which helps us block spam.
When you submit a form, the details are emailed to support@kesalzmentors.help and an automatic confirmation email is sent to the email address you provided. We contact families by email.
Information about the student’s learning
Parents and guardians may choose to tell us about a student’s learning needs, such as the subjects they find difficult, topics they want to focus on or any support needs that allow a tutor to plan suitable lessons. Please only share what is relevant to tuition. If you tell us about a health condition or special educational need, we will use it only to plan and deliver appropriate lessons, and only with your agreement.
Communications with us
We keep a record of emails, messages and other correspondence you exchange with us, including details of lessons arranged, so that we can manage tuition and respond to any questions.
Technical information
When you use the Website, our web hosting provider may process basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, in its server logs to keep the Website running securely.
Children’s Information
Many of the students we teach are under 18. We normally collect a student’s details from their parent or guardian rather than from the student directly.
- If you are under 13, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf rather than filling in our forms yourself.
- We only ask for, and only share with a tutor, the information needed to arrange and deliver tuition.
- We take particular care with information about children and apply the same rights described below, which a parent or guardian can usually exercise on a younger child’s behalf.
How and Why We Use Your Information
Under UK data protection law we must have a lawful basis for using personal data. We use your information for the following purposes:
- Responding to enquiries and arranging tuition – replying to your message, discussing the student’s needs, matching a tutor and scheduling lessons. Lawful basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing our contract with you once tuition is agreed.
- Delivering and managing tuition – organising lessons, sharing progress updates and handling fees and payments. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and compliance with our legal obligations (for instance, keeping financial records).
- Running our service and keeping it secure – service administration, keeping records of correspondence, and protecting our forms and Website from spam and misuse, including checking the human-verification answer. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a well-organised and secure tuition service.
- Meeting legal obligations – responding to lawful requests from authorities and meeting safeguarding, tax and accounting requirements. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing messages to people who have not asked to hear from us.
Cookies
The Website uses a single cookie, named KMSESSID. It is set only when one of our enquiry forms loads and is used for security, to issue a form token and to protect the form from spam. This cookie is strictly necessary for the form to work, so under PECR it does not require your consent. It is a session cookie and expires when you close your browser.
We do not use analytics cookies, advertising or tracking cookies, or social media pixels.
The Website loads web fonts from Google Fonts. When the fonts load, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address. Google Fonts does not set cookies on our Website. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but the enquiry forms may not work if the KMSESSID cookie is blocked.
Who We Share Your Information With
We only share personal data where it is needed, and we never sell your personal data.
- Our web hosting and email provider – hosts the Website and delivers our email. It acts as a processor, handling data only on our instructions and not for its own purposes.
- Tutors assigned to the student – receive only the information they need to plan and deliver lessons, such as the student’s first name, year group, subjects, learning needs and lesson arrangements.
- Where the law requires – we may disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, a court order or a request from a public authority, or where necessary to protect a child’s safety.
International Transfers
We aim to keep personal data within the UK. If a service provider we use processes personal data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. How Long We Keep Your Information
- Enquiries that do not lead to tuition: deleted within 12 months of our last contact with you.
- Client records (for families who take up tuition): kept for the duration of tuition and for up to 6 years afterwards, for legal and accounting purposes.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it securely.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. These include an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to the Website, security tokens and spam protection on our forms, and limiting access to personal data to those who need it. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a security incident occurs.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access – ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- rectification – ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- erasure – ask us to delete your personal data;
- restriction – ask us to limit how we use your personal data;
- objection – object to our use of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests;
- data portability – ask us to transfer information you gave us to you or another organisation; and
- withdraw consent – where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Some rights apply only in certain circumstances. To exercise any of them, email support@kesalzmentors.help. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on your request. There is normally no charge, and we will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your personal data, please contact us first so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at https://ico.org.uk/.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for instance if our services or the law change. The latest version will always be on this page, with the “Last updated” date shown at the top. If we make significant changes that affect how we use your information, we will let current clients know by email.
